Many thanks to Fran Caldwell who gave me a Kreativ Blogger award! Isn’t it a beauty?
If you don’t know Fran’s blog, check it out – she has many insightful posts about the writing and publishing process. Well worth a read.
Here is my task for accepting the award –
Seven Things That No One Knows About Me
1. I have an unnatural obsession with Thomas Jefferson.
2. This week I’ve been singing that Black Eyed Peas song “I gotta feeling” when no one can hear me.
3. Sometimes I refer to my 21-month-old son as “shorty.”
4. I am in the middle of deconstructing my first novel. That sounds fancy, doesn’t it? Sure, it is on Top Chef, but I’m not talking about food here, people. I am rewriting a whole portion from 1st person to 3rd person limited. I’m rearranging the way I broke up the book previously. I’m adding a whole new narrator. *sigh* This is going to take a while.
5. I would like to learn how to make a quilt.
6. I just recently started believing in ghosts.
7. Squirrels freak me out.
Okay, so I nominate the following people for this award: Hilary, Lynn, Sue, Hope101, Steven, The Ink Wench, and Rose.
Thanks for the award! And wow – good luck with that deconstructing! That sounds as painful as what I'm doing with my WIP, which is basically taking the characters and idea from a discarded novel and setting them in a totally different time period, a different POV/tense, and a different voice.

I'm in exalted company there, JM. Thank you! I'm honored.
And now that I've seen your literary task, I think I'll just button my lip, because my rewrites seem palty in comparison. Good luck! May the journey be as sweet as the end. π

Oh, and duh!!! Congratulations on your own Kreativ Blogger award. Would you like me to loan you out Daniel Craig? He's excellent at holding hardware. π

Wow you really are overhauling your novel, aren't you? Good luck!!

*waves hello* to everyone.
Yes, major overhaul of the novel is a painful process. Just worked on it for two hours and I am ashamed to even admit how little I got done.
Good luck with your rewrite, or new write as the case would be Ms. Ink. That sounds like a ton of work.
Hope, I think all rewrites are onerous. It involves taking something you thought was shiny and beautiful and admitting it has blemishes that must be surgically removed or altered.
Hmmm. contemplating blog post in this direction.
Congrats again to all you award winners. I love ya!
